'Elite Speak'

n00bs.
Pros.
Gamerz.
Pwning.
Retards.

No offence to anyone who plays games but these are my own personal opinion. Which means you can't change it and if you don't like it don't read it. My friend is always debating with me about the use of the word 'n00b'. He continuously uses it in real life no matter what the consequences. If he beats someone at even one small thing, they're automatically a 'n00b'. I find this very insulting, not because he just uses it towards me, but because he goes crazy whenever anyone else uses it. Then later on he'll argue that it's alright to use n00b, as long as he's not on the receiving end. Now I don't mean to generalize and it might just be my friend who does this, but if all 'gamerz' do this, then they're all complete retards.

In my day 'n00b' wouldn't be given to someone simply because they're slightly more incompetant than you in one or more areas, but it would be given to the complete fucktards that walk around ruining games, becoming trolls, and overall general annoying others. Calling people 'n00bs' when they're trying their best to do something is completely offensive and stupid. I personally find it like accusing someone of something that they aren't.

I, for one, am good at art; at least I believe so. But, if I went around calling all those that were slightly worse than me 'n00bs' it would insult and discourage many people. Calling them 'newbs' is completely different. That would be signifying that they're new at it or need slightly more help. But the elite speak and insulting everyone is completely idiotic and I would prefer if it didn't exist. Mostly because my friend is constantly arguing that it's okay to use it in real life because he uses it in gaming. Then, before I can formulate my reply, he says that I can't answer because he 'pwned' me. I find this hilarious because he mostly runs away from fights before he can get the shit tossed back at him.

He's running away before he can be called a 'n00b'. Which, I suspect lots of people do. Because, in reality, who wants to be called something offensive like a 'n00b'? It's insulting because, in my dictionary, 'n00b' signifies all of the things I previously stated. And who wants to be called an annoyance, a troll, someone who ruins games and general fun? Then, my dear friend tried to prove his point by going to wikipedia.

Wikipedia, the world wide encyclopedia that can be changed by anyone. He states that the definition is there because a majority put it there. Yes, a majority of 'gamerz' that have nothing better to do on their spare time than insult others and play games, which weren't meant to be taken seriously, too seriously.

So yes, you continue with your 'elite speak' and 'pwn' all of the 'n00bs' that you can while I live in real life and learn that people develop at their own speed and might beat me at my own talents one day.

Enjoy!

5 Most Annoying Things at School

This is a list of all the most annoying things I find at school. These are in no particular order, I find them all equally annoying.

WARNING: These are my opinions. MY opinions. I am not forcing you to read this, nor am I trying to convince you of anything. I am simply explaining the things that I see every day. You have a problem with MY opinion, leave a message. :3

So let's begin!

1. Prostetots- Little girls (12-15) that wear skimpy clothing all in hopes to find an older and more 'mature' boyfriend that they can fall in love with and live happily ever after. That or they're just trying to impress people with their size 0 bodies and no breasts. I personally find it hideous. I mean, who wants a size zero body? It's ugly as fuck!

2. Japanabe's- Girls (and some boys) that think they're Japanese because they watch and draw anime, read manga's and know a few words that they researched on a crappy english/Japanese dictionary online. Oh, and the fact that some anime's speak some Japanese words. Listen, you're white, not Japanese. Until you can show me that you /really/ know the Japanese culture and understand its politics, history, and overall attitude, don't come to me and say that if there was a war between Japan and your country, you'd choose to be on Japan's side.

3. Emo Kids- Now I mean this in the stereotypical sense. I absolutely fucking hate kids that start thinking they're all 'deep' and 'artistic' because they wear cheap plastic shit and annoying t-shirts with bands no one knows, or hates. For some reason all of these emo kids can write 'poetry', 'draw', take 'amazing' pictures(that, for some reason, are all in black and white.. go figure), and are all 'experts' with a guitar. When in reality, their poetry sucks, they can't draw worth crap, their pictures are all basically themselves in some position or another in black and white thinking that makes you look good, and they all suck at the guitar.

4. Hyperactiveness- Now I understand being hyper sometime or another, but the groups of kids that run around, randomly scream, push each other, throw things around, and cause general annoyance to others around them are so bothersome. I mean, I've been accidentally pushed, thrown in a group I didn't want to be in, and cringed at the sound of the entire group screaming 'for fun'. I think that, if they looked around they would find loads of people just looking at them in hatred. At least I am. If you want to be hyper, go outside and run in circles until it's over.

5. Drama- Yes, the fake drama that people seem to push onto themselves in highschool. When people enter a relationship that they know will end badly, when they do something really screwed up, or when they talk behind someone's back. I absolutely hate drama. It won't matter in a year or two who you broke up with, if you slept with someone and got pregnant because you were too much in the passion to forget to wear a condom then that's your own fucking fault, if you talked behind someone's back and they found out about it, get over it, if you talked behind their back in the first place you obviously didn't like that person to begin with, and if someone insults you, you won't remember by next year. Get. Over. Yourself.

And that's it for the five things that I find most annoying at school. :3

The boy sat teetering on the chair, hugging his knees tightly against his chest. His brown eyes were wide and red, moving rapidly around the stone room. A single fluorescent light shone down around him. Brown hair matted down by grease and sweat; he was shivering. The single door to the room opened roughly and the boy jumped. A large bear of a man came in. Blonde hair stuck to his forehead over his pure blue eyes that shone against his blood-pressure red skin. The man closed the door and came to the steel-top table before the boy.

"So," the man said, breaking the silence. He eyed the twitching boy before continuing. "Alex Young." He stated, as he looked down to the file on the table. Alex’s eyes flickered over to the man standing there, empty eyes stared back at him; there was no comfort in them. Alex shook violently and heavy tears escaped his swollen eyes. "Big night, eh?" The man asked; he had never really been good with consoling. The boy twitched at the sound of his voice echoing through the room. The man sighed. "Son, listen to me." The boy refused to look at the man, tears still pouring out, "we have our version of what happened, but we need yours. What happened to Eddie Stowes?"

The boy stopped shaking, his eyes coming level with the man’s own. A smile appeared on his lips. A false smile. An empty smile. A frightening smile. "Are you sure you want to know?" The boy whispered, his voice empty and cracked, only a tinge of sanity hid behind it.

The man frowned, "yes."

"You wouldn’t believe me if I told you." The boy whispered again, his smile widening further and his cracked, dry lips started leaking bloody drops. The boy didn’t notice.

"Try me."

The boy froze for a second, as though deciding wether or not to really tell him. "Really?" There was no hope in his voice, only a desperate need for the story to find the light.

The man hesitated, but only for an instant. The way the boy’s eyes shone disturbingly, and his bloody smile still in place, the man wasn’t so sure he wanted to know. But he nodded jerkily. He had to know for the good of Eddie Stowes.

The boy drew in a shaky breath, no doubt forcing its way past an uneasy lump filled with more tears. "Alright," the boy whispered, his eyes closed slowly as the day’s events came flooding back. "We had just come back from school..."

***

"You... you just shot me!" Alex mumbled., his voice flat. "You shot me!"

"Yeah, so?" Eddie answered, his voice filled with conceit and dripping with ego, "you should watch your back better. You never know who your friends are anymore."

"But.. But..." Alex stumbled as he died, "we’re on the same team!"

"Well... you should learn from your mistakes then!"

"My mistakes? What mistakes? You’re the one who shot me!" Alex answered.

"You should explain the rules of the game better," Eddie answered happily.

"But this is a video game! It’s common knowledge that you don’t shoot your teammates." Alex fought.

"Again, a mistake. You just assumed I was good at these video games. I’m not." He answered.

"But you wouldn’t shoot your partner in real life!!"

"Pssh.. Details, details."

Alex lost his temper, dropped his remote and tackled Eddie to he floor. Eddie landed with an echoing sound of pain, but immediately regained his senses, and being the larger one of the boys turned the tables on Alex in one quick swoop. Eddie had him pinned in under a minute.

"Hey! No fair! I call cheatsies!" Alex squirmed under Eddie’s grip, but he couldn’t budge.

"How is it cheating if you tackled me first... when I wasn’t looking?" Eddie asked

"...Details, details." Alex quoted with a sly grin on his face.

"Tsk, tsk. The youth of today," Eddie smiled and pinned both of Alex’s arms above his head while straddling his waist. "I guess we’ll just have to punish you for all of your insolent behavior." And he began tickling Alex relentlessly.

By the time Alex screamed, "I give! I give!" A sudden boom vibrated through the house, and the light pitter-patter of rain hit against the windows. Both boys froze, then a grin crept up on both their faces.

Thunderstorm.

Now, for most people, a thunderstorm wouldn’t elicit this type of reaction, but as both boys raced to the basement where Alex’s room resided, they didn’t seem to particularly care. Eddie made it first and he leaped onto the bed, while Alex brought the rear and stumbled rather ungracefully into the unmade bed. They were both giggling madly, though. After a moment or two Alex reached under the bed and pulled out a thick, flappy book with a eerie looking house on the cover with lightning bolts tearing across the sky. ‘1001 Scary Stories’.

It was a tradition that had started when they were just kids. Whenever a thunderstorm started, they would go to the creepiest place they could find and read scary stories. Eventually the creepiest place simply turned into Alex’s bedroom due to the unruly mess and slight odor that comes with all teenage boys. Alex looked into Eddies eyes and grinned, "I found it last month at this old book store. It’s supposed to be real scary... At least that’s what the back says."

Eddie smiled, "good enough for me." He took the book from Alex’s hands and gave him a quick peck on the lips-

***

"Wait," the man said, dumbfounded, "he kissed you?" The boy gave him an empty smile and nodded. His eyes grew dimmer. "That means you were... lovers?"

Alex frowned, but nodded.

The man grunted and looked down at where his pen was scribbling messy notes of the boy’s supposed story. He looked up at Alex and coughed a little uneasily before continuing, "did he ever cheat on you?"

"No," Alex said simply, but wearily.

"Did he ever insult you, threaten you, or physically hurt you?" The man said, his whole face a little uneasy at this.

"No." Was the only answer that left the bloody lips.

The man wrote a few notes down before looking back up at him and hesitated before speaking, "okay... continue."

***

...and gave him a quick peck on the lips, licking his lips afterwards as if to seal the flavor. His eyes lingered over Alex’s before moving to the book and started reading the first story aloud. It wasn’t until the fourth story that they snuggled closer from fright. And it wasn’t until the sixth that the lights started flickering. The thunderstorm outside was still as fierce as it had started out. The rain was hitting like fists and the thunder would make them jump. The lights only served to make them more uneasy.

"Do you think we’re going to lose electricity?" Alex asked, snuggling closer to Eddie’s comforting warmth.

"We might... are you worried?" Eddie teased.

The lights flickered again.

The darkness of the basement room was made more obvious by this, and Alex’s wide open closet looked like a cavern. "A little," Alex answered honestly.

"Don’t worry," Eddie said, putting an arm around his small boyfriend. "As long as I’m here to protect you, nothing will happen."

Alex looked up with wide eyes at Eddie and smiled, "promise?"

"Promise."

The lights flickered.

"Do you think we should go upstairs in case the lights actually do go out?" Alex asked after a moment of silence.

"Don’t tell me you’re scared of being in the dark with little ‘ol me."

The lights flickered.

Thunder rumbled.

Alex smirked, "you know I’m never scared of being stuck in the dark with you." He leaned over and kissed him gently.

The lights flickered.

Alex sighed happily and slowly opened his eyes to see his boyfriend looking at him. "Okay, now get back to the story. The atmosphere’s perfect!" His nerves were on end, but he didn’t care. He had his boyfriend to protect him.

The lights flickered.

Eddie nodded and leaned back against the pillows. He opened the book to the marked page and the lights flickered. Eddie growled and gave the lights an evil glare. "This would be so much easier if the lights wouldn’t be so annoying."

The lights turned off.

There were some shuffling sounds then a faint, drowned click and a single beam of light streaked across the darkness. Alex shifted it so that they were both illuminated, however little it may be. "Well, I guess we’ll have to skip the reading until next time."

The lights turned on.

"Well, that’s-"

"-odd." Eddie finished for Alex. He suspiciously looked at the lights, but shrugged.

"Yeah.." Alex whispered, his voice somewhat shaky and his fingers were now trembling.

"Don’t worry, it’s normal," Eddie said. "Turn off the flashlight and we’ll keep reading."

Alex turned off the flashlight.

The lights turned off.

Alex turned on the flashlight immediately and looked at Eddie with wide eyes.

"It’s a coincidence," Eddie said, answering the question that was on both their minds.

The lights turned on.

"Well, this is getting rather annoying." Eddie whispered.

The lights stayed on.

"Yeah," Alex said in a faraway voice.

The lights stayed on.

"Well, it looks like it won’t be turning off anymore." Eddie said, slouching down into a more comfortable position.

The lights turned off.

"Eddie... I think it’s...Playing with us." Alex whispered.

"That’s dumb. They’re lights. You’ve been reading too many scary stories." Eddie answered him; always the voice of reason.

The lights flickered and ended in darkness.

"Maybe we should go upstairs until the lights come back on." Eddie said; always the voice of reason.

THUMP

"What was that?" Alex said in a screaming whisper; the type of whisper in which your voice screeches, but still remains low.

"M-maybe it’s your mom." Eddie’s hold on Alex grew tighter.

"My m-mom’s not coming home until tomorrow morning." Alex drew closer to Eddie.

THUMP

"Maybe something... fell?" Alex tried to rack his brain for logic.

"...Maybe. I’m hoping so." Eddie’s wide eyes watched the faint outline of the closed door closely.

THUMP

No one wanted to say, ‘or maybe not’.

THUMP

No one wanted to say, ‘it’s coming down the stairs.’

THUMP

Whatever ‘it’ was.

It suddenly stopped. No more thumping.

Alex held his breath.

Nothing came.

Eddie held Alex closer.

Nothing came.

"Thank G-"

Scratch

Both set of eyes widened. The door. It was coming from the door. Alex whimpered. Eddie held him tighter. "Remember what I said," was all that Eddie whispered.

Scratch

Squeak

The doorknob rattled and turned lightly. The door didn’t open. Eddie whispered in Alex’s ear, "stay here." And he left, sliding off the bed and dropping to the floor with only light taps of his feet.

Scratch

"No! Eddie!" Alex whispered tightly, clawing the air to try and hold Eddie back. He got nothing.

SqueakScratch

A light tap from Eddie advancing closer to the door.

Scratch

Alex grabbed the flashlight and aimed the string of light towards Eddie and the door. "Eddie, come back here. I’m scared. Please."

ScratchScratchScratch

Whatever was scratching the door was doing it ferociously. It didn’t stop. It wouldn’t stop. Eddie backed away. It stopped.

The flashlight turned off.

The lights turned on.

The boys screamed.

It was standing there. The door still intact, but looks of horror stretched across both of their faces. It wasn’t normal. Its skin was green and stretched awkwardly over its bony, lumped body. Its face was stretched and limping all at once. There was no hole for the mouth, but it was open. Almost as if a thin layer of skin had grown over his lips. High, oddly-shaped cheekbones led to a pointy, upturned nose. The worst thing of all about its face was its eyes. They were deep, dark, and held loud screams that you could only see. They went on and on, never stopping for air, never failing. It was nude, but nothing to distinguish its sex. Scars, bumps and cuts littered his skin. Dried and new blood dripping and painting its skin, as though there were too much.

It moved towards Eddie and it hurt to watch. It bent its body ways that no one ever should. Its bones cracked. Its joints went wrong ways. But it inched forward. Movements jerky.

Both boys were paralyzed with fear.

The thick scent of blood and death permeated the air. There was no escape. The lights flickered. They could hear its breath, jagged and cut and at odd intervals as though it had to think about it rather than do it naturally.

It happened.

It was too fast for human eyes, but it did. A scream pierced the air, sending shivers down Alex’s body. The monster had sunk his incisor-like fingers into Eddie’s chest, or more specifically, where his heart lay still beating at a mad pace.

Eddie barely had time to breath a last ‘Alex’ before the monster ripped out his heart from his chest violently.

"EDDIE!" Alex screamed as Eddie’s body collapsed like a rag doll to the ground. Tears left his eyes, but he still couldn’t move. The monster kept him there. Away from his love. A violent crack made Alex’s eyes move to the monster. The monster held Eddie’s bloody heart in one hand, blood dripping down its sickly arm. It dug its nails into the heard. His black eyes started leaking blood. A mock imitation of Alex’s tears. The blood flowed down the misshapen face and to its skin-covered mouth where the monster seemed to suck in the blood through its pores.

The monster sucked the heart dry. It left Alex teetering on the edge of insanity. The monster suddenly dropped the dry blood to the ground. Empty, useless. No longer beating. No longer room for life. For love. It was empty. Alex waited for it to finish him off. To do him away like Eddie.

Nothing happened.

It watched Alex. It watched him cry silent tears for the one he loved.

A message found its way to Alex’s brain.

Torture.

It wanted to torture.

It lived to torture.

"ALEX! I’M HOME!" Alex jumped, his eyes drifted up to the ceiling before he snapped them back down to the monster. It was gone. But Alex knew, it would come back.

With his Paralysis gone, Alex jumped over his bed and to Eddie’s body, letting the sobs rack free. His throat dry except for one huge lump stuck there. His eyes were like wells, they would never be empty again. And all he could say was, "nononononono.." Alex hugged the still bleeding body, held him against his chest. He looked at the blank face that he had kissed so often. The blank eyes that had played with him so often. The pale face that he had once envied and always loved. There was no life. His own heart ripped out. Alex was rocking now. Back and forth. Back and forth.

Back and forth.

***

Alex’s voice broke as a fresh wave of tears rolled down his face and he held his knees more tightly against his chest. It wasn’t fair. It wasn’t fair.

The lights flickered.

Both men looked up and Alex let out a croak. Nononononononono...

The man stood up. "So you expect me to believe that a monster killed your... love?" The man said with as much bite as he could muster. He raised his long arm and hit the light-bulb. It stopped flickering.

Alex shook his head. "No."

The lights flickered.

"Nonono.." Alex started to mumble as he shut his eyes. "It’s here. It’s here. It’s here."

"No, the lights do that often. The only scary thing here is the men’s washroom." The man said, trying to lift the boy’s mood. But Alex kept shaking his head and mumbling ‘it’s here’.

The man almost felt infected by the fear himself, but he knew better. There were no monsters, Santa Clause was a myth, and this boy was insane. The man sighed. Alex looked up at the man with wide, fearful eyes.

There was no hope here.

A few days later Alex was in the mental hospital the Judge had decided to send him to. He had been found guilty, but insane. Alex didn’t care. He didn’t care when he saw his mother cry in the corner, or his father scowl. He didn’t care when the whole jury looked at him as though he should’ve been carted off far before that. Because it was coming. The lights had flickered. They had flickered. No one had cared.

He had not talked since then. No words. Silence. The need to hear it when it came was overwhelming. His heart was always loud in his ears.

"-and you’re going to be in your own room with lots of cushions!" The condescending old nurse said to him as she walked him down the colorless hallway. The two guards behind him walked a steady, even pace. Alex simply followed. "Won’t you like that?" She continued, "oh! Here we are!" She pointed to a white door with only a tiny window near the top. The guards opened the door for her, "here we go, now," she led him in, "we’re going to come by around dinnertime to give you something to eat. You’ll feel a lot better by then." She smiled at him; a toothy smile. Lipstick had stained on her front-left tooth.

Alex just looked at her as the door closed in his face. The room was all white, except for the dark window. It was night out. A light up on the ceiling where he couldn’t reach it. It flickered.

Alex screamed.

The nurse walked away with the two bodyguards behind her.
